Canon S3 and Infrared anyone?

Can someone tell me if they have tried infrared on the Canon S3 before I buy a filter? If so what sort of results did they get, was it possible to see and frame anything in the viewfinder with the filter on and was it possible to focus? What sort of shutter speeds/iso's possible?
