Hello all. I'm a recent Canon convert. I traded in my trusty Nikon F4 and a few lenses to get a brand new Digital Rebel with the 18-55 lens. It's been 3 days and I'm loving the DRebel.
I use it primarly with my Mac laptop (OS X), and I noticed that when I important photos through Image Capture (using either communication mode PTP or "Normal" ) that the EXIF data is not visible when I browse with Canon File Browser. If I import with the CFB, the EXIF data is visible. Also, I noticed that if I open the Image Capture(d) files with Photoinfo (an app that lets you modify the EXIF date and time), the data is there, but CFB can't read it.
Has anyone else noticed this? I don't mind using CFB to import, but Image Capture is much faster and easier to use, and offers a ton of automatic cropping features that are way handy. Ideally, I'd like to import with Image Capture and then do any specialized processing (like RAW converting) with CFB. Any ideas, or am I stuck with CFB only?
Thanks.
