Camera file naming

I was wondering if there was anyway to change your file names in the camera (or card) from say......_img_333 to something like my name or initials?

I know my buddy that shoots with a Nikon has his files personalized.

Not that I can find. Assuming you mean before you get a computer involved in the process.

Nearly all software will let you change the name once a computer comes into the picture. If you have a device that can write to your card, the name change can be there.

1 series bodies, from the 1DIIN on I believe, allow you to customize the filename in body.
