Hey there, I am long time canon digital camera owner, I love the elph series and I am a semi-pro and use the 20D.
I bought the SD630, and well, I have cycled thru all the iso settings to use the camera without flash, from 80 to AUTO
I was in a very well lit public place and the "shaky picture its gonna be blurred icon" comes on and just a expected it isnt fast enough to capture a focused picture.
I have about 3 compact digital camera's and this new one is the only one with this problem.
I mean, yeah, the flash is great but with every other camera I can take a non flash pic even in dim light
Am I missing something?
I looked on the website, no firmware update, It must must be me

right?

On my S2, the shaky icon comes on even when it's on a tripod. I don't know why, but I don't think it affects my pictures. The camera should be able to take bright pictures with low noise with low iso settings - especially in good light. If it isn't, and you know you have it set up right, something could be wrong. But don't expect results like on the 20D.

Stefan, it's different when you use an S2, because you have IS. I use my SD700IS and get decent low light shots. The IS makes all the difference.

The Camera Shake warning icon comes on anytime the shutter speed drops below 1/60, at least on the A620 that is the case, 1/50 or lower and the icon shows.
