Hi,

This is one of my favorite shots from Europe (attached below too): http://www.photobird.com/ekrimen/Europe/swan. What do you think?

I have some other shots I like from Europe and San Francisco at www.photobird.com/ekrimen/.

I honestly hate the cut, its imho realy bad.
I would sugest narrowing it a lot around the two swans and catching some of the masts with a little red/yellow sky. Kind of like a narrow vertical strip...
The colours are very nice though.

Hi Warman,

I think you're right. It would look better cropped to the lower right 2/3rds. Thanks for your feedback!

Warman, again, ha you are just so so blunt, it is so funny... (oooh until I post some more photos)

Yah, the problem with the composition is the diagonal smoke plane trail deal in the back, it is distracting, your eye goes to that, if you cut a tad above the boats in back, you would still have the sky in there beautifully... also cropping to the right of the large boat in the back would be good, too... that is another distracting thing.

And, if there was any other way to get lower when taking the photo, I would of suggested that, but there may not of been.

(When I take lake / ocean photos, I feel like carying around mud boots at times so I can walk right in to the lake)

Usually I dont like the main subject (the swan) centered (well after cropping it, it would be, but it is good, actually, in my opinion.

Let me know if you want to know anything else... or if my inchoherient (and badly spelled) ramblings didnt make sense.
