I just bought an A630 yesterday and right now I'm having a lot of fun testing it out. But there was one feature I forgot to look for when I was camera shopping - the infinity lock. The A630 has a landscape shoot mode, but is that the same as an infinity lock? If not, can you guys tell me which canon does have an infinity lock?

Won't switching to manual focus and setting it on infinity do what you want to do?

I'm not sure how to set the manual to infinity. Do I just push the bar all the way to the right? I've tried this, but the objects in the distance still turn out fuzzy, so I'm not sure I've done it right.

I have an A620 and even the sharpest picture still looks fuzzy to me when I view it on the rear LCD so if I know the infinity setting is what I want then I switch to manual focus and do as you said, moving the focus adjustment all the way to the right. Take the picture and then view it at home on your computer and see if it is in fact fuzzy. I tend to trust the inifinity setting.
