submitting a photo

How do I include a photo along with my post. I notice that most, if not all posts, include one or more photos.

Have a quick look in the help section (link at top of page). You need to have your image on a web site like fotopic and then you link to it in the post. Can't wait to see your photos!

Your bird shots, have a good narrow depth of field, this works well to remove distractions like branches from the view so that the viewer can concentrate on the subject. Unfortunately, the composition is less than perfect. In the first picture, a grass blade is in front of the bird, and the branch covers the neck. This doesn't really negate the photo, it just could be better without it. Keep shooting and better shots can be gotten.

The second shot is tilted. When you have straight lines in the frame, try to keep them level or plumb. The window is distracting. Again, another shot might be better (without the white house...)

The cat. It's hard to see the cat for the trees. Too much detail. I think this could be better if the forground and background was more blurry. Use a longer lens setting and/or wider aperture to do this.

Keep shooting and looking critically at your shots. Determine features you like and dislike in both your shots, and others. Practice, practice and more practice.
