Question about using a Canon A70 with a Phoenix D79-BZS digital slave flash: The slave flash does not always fire when the camera flash goes off. EX.: In a large room the slave will not fire. In a small room (with the same camera and flash settings) the slave flash will fire. To make sure the A70 flash will fire the slave flash, should the A70 be set to Auto, P or Manual? Should the slave flash be set to F1 or F2? TIA.

I don't know about T1 and T2 - check your flash manual for that.
Are you using reflected light for the flash slave (the trigger is pointing at the subject)? If so, then not enough light is bouncing back off the subject into the slave for it to 'see' the flash. Try angling the slave unit so it can see the cameras flash itself. Perhaps a reflector may help redirect direct flash into the slave...
I hear that the camera should be on Manual so that the exposure only flash does not trigger the slave before the picture flash is fired.
