Various cameras display this information differently. On my S2, there is a number in the upper left hand corner of the view finder (from -2 to +2) which indicates exposure. To get the exposure, adjust aperture and/or shutter and/or iso until that number indicates 0.

Not bad advice...but sometimes what the camera thinks is right exposure is not always what you want to be exposed...

Hi adavem...as cool dude says, there's situations that will challenge you, and even if you're exposure says +-0 you could be overexposing a shot. So you have the second opinion in your histogram and finally the visual confirmation seeing the photo after you take it, so you can compensate de exposure if it needs.

I let you and example of some shots cropped at 100% that i take the other day....the first one the exposure says that i have a -2 exposure and even so i overexpose the face of the singer...the second one i adjust the shutter and got a more balanced exposure.
