Hi everyone. As many know, the EF 1200 f/5.6 was the biggest AF lens ever made up till its discontinuation in 2005. I now bring you the rumored successor - the Canon EF 1500mm f/4L IS USM! Enjoy! :D (The cute lil bitty lens beneath it is the EF 400 f/2.8L IS USM)

Does it come with a battleship to mount it on?

hmm, is this a photoshop doing i smell? seems to be it would be TERRIBLY easier to just use the 400 and hire a team of sherpas to carry you around on a handcart to get close enough to the subject? and a small millitary force to clear the way :)

I smell photoshop also

If real it would be at least 20000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
or why not get the 1.0 version

But think of the DOF! There's no way you're gonna get it nearly as nice a bokeh on a 400 vs 1500 comparatively, I think. :) And besides, its much cheaper (not to mention safer) to use this than hire a band of merc.

Well, I'd say it's photochopped as well. It's not that a 1500 mm f/4 isn't possible (and Canon is capable of building it). It's just that I don't think that there'd be a buyer out there. Plus, it would't be 4.5 - 5 times as long as the 400.

Doesn't matter which end of the lens you start at, you're going to need to get in line a long ways away. ;)

I'm going to accept donations to contribute to Cali's divorce lawyers if he actually tries to buy this lens

The problem is that it is for medium format but there is probably an adapter to EOS

Now that the speculation for the 800 and 200 mm's are over, let's begin with the next tele lens. This sounds like a believable rumor...
