Again this one was taken at Knockhill this year at the Supercar meet. I think this car is fantastic, and the sound from the back is amazing.

Thanks catz1ct but when I checked the posting it looks like I was a little heavy handed with the saturation.

Did you use IS when panning on that shot?
Why im asking is I had a go at panning & all I get is a blurry background (nice) but the car is blurry too, I was moving at the same speed as well & focus was locked on AI Servo.
I will have another go with 1/125th, I tried it at 1/60th :-o

Saturation doesn't look too bad for me, nice shot of a lovely car :) I'd love to see one up close...

Thanks fi20100.
Nick I used the 70-200 f4 L for the shot.
If you are panning with AI and not manual focus you should think about the composition of your shoot and select the auto focus point that suits it best (if you want the car at the bottom of the image select the bottom middle focal point) this stops the lens from hunting for some contrast to lock on to, and hopefully blurred images.
I would'nt try below 1/125 if you are just starting to use panning until you get a little bit more practise, also depends on what lens you use to.

Very nice shoot. Great Car if it were only two things: 1. Yellow. 2. In my garage. LOL

I had an old D reg when I first started driving, it survived flying lessons off a four foot banken  But sadly it was the rust that finally finished it off  Thanks for the trip down memory lane Nick.

Spot on with the velvia poah. I hadn't purchased a polorizer at that time of these shots, got one now though.

Well, to be honest they only have two of them for very special use (basically for quick delivery of organs when a chopper is not available and the like). And yes, the drives ARE well trained. Unfortunately not all of us drive a Ferrari (I personally drive a Ford... :D)
