Was out for a bit today, but the breeze was really too much. Man does it kill macro work...LOL

Anyway, was able to slavage a few shots, and this one was one of the few I kept.

The lighting was difficult...sun/cloud/bright sun/no sun.....

I think this is a form of lady bug.

All comments welcome

Nice shot, good colors. I believe it is a soldier bug or something along those lines. It was mentioned in another thread.

was the original shot at life size, ie 1:1 or at say 1:2 or 2:1?

OK,

I am still trying to learn the lingo. I believe it was shot at 1:1 with the sigma 105mm macro. It was shot at about a distance of 4 or 5 inches, and this is a 50% crop ( if I remember right)

I really am not sure if that was what you were looking for.
