ANY NEW CANON DIGITAL CAMERA IN NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Hi all
just wanted to ask..... has anyone heard any news if canon are bringing any new digital camera in new year?
i currently have d60... and wuld like bit more and higher pixels......
cant afford 1ds...... yet
if any1 heard or know about any digital camera coming out soon.. within the range of d60 and 1ds... plz let me know.

Well the 10D is the newer versino of the D60...

There will deffinently be a new camera in the next year... now what it is, who knows, but read the forum, there are rumors of other ones.

There was a post somewhere else on this board in the last day or so that posted a link to a USA Today article. It said that Canon will be introducing more cameras in 2004 than they did in 2003. Sorry I can't be more help, but look around and you will probably find the link.

According the Canon Japan Inc. , Canon plans to roll out nearly 20 new compact digital cameras in 2004. see:

Not sure about Canon digital SLR cameras though, and some say that 1D will be replaced but no confirmation.

In Finland are final 1D models now in shops. New models are coming propably before PMA.

The rumors are Canon will announce the upgrade/replacement to the 1D at PMA2004 (Feb I believe) with ship in March. [If true means it will probably ship before Nikon's D2H - sarcasm here]

Price between US$1500 and $8000. (translation between 10D and 1Ds, best guess around $3500)

Other then an expected increase in pixels (lowest rumor was 6MP highest was 11MP (11 was considered unlikely, 8MP was most likely)

Burst rate/capacity was expected to increase. (expect around Nikon D2H capacity)

The earliest expected 1Ds, 10D upgrades are Fall 2004, with 1Ds expected Spring 2005. Pure speculation here.

The only reliable trustworthy rumored information was it will not exceed 1Ds in terms of resolution and it will dust Nikon's D2H.

Only two months to go to see if rumors have any facts to them.
