Can SOMEONE show me the difference using a BW filter?

I've been thinking about getting a BW filter but wanted to visually see the difference between Unsaturating a photo and using a BW filter. Can someone show me some pix with and without filter? Thanks in advance:)

well, i actually dont have a b&w filter, but i van tell you there are a lot of ways of converting a photo to B&W, not only desaturate them, but playing with the channel mixer, or another metods, also if you have DPP which come with your eos camera, you can take your shot in raw (color) then convert them to B&W in DPP an use the filters that DPP have like green red blue etc to get diferent results, (as like using a red filter make your sky darker etc) that way you dont have to spend money on your filter, but thats just my opinion

Thanks Henry. I've played around with a few of those options. I'm really wanting to see some actual shots using the filter vs using a conversion program.
