I have Photoshop Lite which I have been using off and on for several years. How does the new Photoshop Elements compare?

Elements (ver 2.0 is the current one) offers quite a few useful additions, including a file browser and other advantages over LE, mostly in the ease of use area. You should be able to get an upgrade from LE to Elements 2.0 for around $30. I suspect there will be a ver 3.0 soon.

Thank you..
The reason I asked is because I received a copy of Elements with my DRebel but didn't know if I should bother installing it.

I use Elements 2.0. I used to use LE. Elements is much better. I don't think I was able to use color management in LE and I do in Elements 2.0.

If you purchase Elements 2, suggest you give a serious look to Richard Lynch's book: The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 2. Pub. Sybex
A CD is included. After installing, it is possible to do separations, curves, masking, chanel, color balance, etc. Lessons for each are included.
The corrections made using his tools made a believer out of me.
Best wishes to you.
