Canon 1.4X II extender

I realize that this extender is recommended for certain long telephoto lenses. My question is: can this extender be used at all on a Canon 75-300 IS?

Yes. A third-party TC such as Kenko/Sigma/whatever would work.

To be more specific, the Canon 1.4X II works only with Canon "L" lenses.
