I have tried to find an answer to this question on this and the C1 forum, but I don't seem to find a proper answer.

In setting the C1 Color Manegement Settings I can't decide on which profile to assign to my D60 images. The output destination (working space) is not an issue, since I will probably always do some twicking in PS I am sticking with Adobe 1998.

For what the input camera profile is concerned, the program assigns as default Adobe 1998, but I have my doubts about it. I am under the impression that the D60 default output profile is sRGB IEC81966-2.1, so shouldn't the input camera profile in C1 match the D60 output profile?

I am quite counfuse about this specific issue and I would appreciate any help with this.

Thanks.

Max,

There is a D60 profile that you should use. In Workflow>Colour Management Settings>Camera Profile, select the Canon D60 Generic.

Check this article, where I explain more about how I work with C1:

You should also check out the profiles from www.etcetera.cc for the D60. See this article:

http://www.rogercavanagh.com/helpinfo/36_etc.htm

which has some comparisons for 10D, D30 and D60 images.

Roger,

Thank you so much for your suggestion, I will check your article in depth.

I also got an answer from Michael at Phase 1 forum, it seems he agrees with you with using the generic D60 profiles. I guess I will go with that until I will have learned how to create my own profiles for specific lighting conditions (studio flash, studio tungsten, daylight sunny, daylight cloudy, etc.).
