16 Bit Image Manipulation in CS

Has anyone compared 16 bit versus 8 bit images from RAW now that CS has true 16 bit functionality? If so is there any discernable difference in printed output?

I haven't seen any difference in prints.

However, I have seen that keeping most of the modifications in the 16-bit domain leads to a lot less in the way of artifacts caused by said modifications.

This is especially true when modifiying continous tones, e.g. blank blue skies etc.

I.e. you can make lots more changes in 16-bit before the image starts to fall apart :)
