I like his expression, and his dad in the background eating his puddin  There seems to be a lot of noise in the picture... what ISO did you shoot this pic in?

Hi Shawn,
you're right, it was shot at ISO800, 1/25 f5.6 hand held. Technically not the best I have done, there is a little shake on the original as well. If I remember rightly I was squeezed in between the play mat and the fireplace trying to get low down so technique was a bit dodgy.
For me its the look an his face, he is such a happy little boy I could have taken pictures of him all day.

I like the second one - lovely smile:D The first looks like its a close-up using a wide angle lens (there appears to be some slight distortion) which lens did you use?

It was my Tammey, at 75mm across the back of a chair. My favorite lens at the moment but it's under-performing here because of the low light and iso800, His head really is that shape if that is what you are reffering to!!

Rather than dig myself any deeper into this hole I'm standing in - I'll just apologise and say no offense meant :o It just appeared to me that...the lens..... No, it doesn't matter!

Hehehe, dont worry I know where your coming from, My boys are all grown up now but whenever I see a young baby I seems to think about the size/proportion of their head.
