I always shoot with the "parameter" set to "Adobe RGB." Is this the ideal setting for importing into Photoshop, or should I use a custom setting instead? I have Photoshop's working space set to "Adobe RGB", so I figured I should shoot in that color space as well. Am I on the right track?
Also, what's the difference in Photoshop between "Adobe RGG" and "Adobe RGB 1998" ??
Thanks.

I'm a newb when is comes to Photoshop so I don't know your second question, but I do know that shooting AdobeRGB gives you a wider color gamut. Use it whenever you can.
I've had Photoshop for years, but only am now beginning to touch the tip of this huge iceberg as I have delved deep into digital photography and the digital darkroom. It's quite fascinating and comforting knowing I'm not breathing all those nasty chemicals!

Someone correct me if im wrong but changing between colorspaces ie RBG to CMYK for instance remaps your colors from one gamut to another gamut. Some gamuts are larger ,RGB being the largest I believe whereas SRGB is slightly smaller and CMYK is very small. If you convert your profile to one of the smaller gamuts you are cutting the range of colors down. So to answer your question I would keep everything in Adobe RGB until you get down to the final print decision as to what you want, and then save one for whatever colorspace you need keeping the original in Adobe RGB.
Do a search on colorspaces and ICC profiling and you will get tons of information regarding all of this.
