Usb get hot

Hello



I have problem to get my camera (powershot a70) to work with my computer. The usb cable get hot when i plug it and i'm affraid to damage the camera. The computer doesn't recognize the camera as it is suppose to be. I did everything that is written in the manual.

What should i do???

Are you under Windows XP?
If so, have you installed the software pack before connecting the camera to the computer?

Yeah, the camera and the cable get hot when you connect it to the camera through USB Cable. If you afraid of getting any damage, buy yourself a card reader..

You should install the software before you could connect your camera. It;s not plug and play like nikon does. A major issue of connectivity, --which I dislike.
