So I'm playing with a photo I took tonight and I'm tring to use the spot heal brush and it just won't work. I've used it plenty of times before without fail, even opened a different photo to make sure and it works on that one, so what's going on? So far I've done a levels adjustment layer, I copied an eye so added a new layer with that and just some cloneing. I flattened the image thinking maybe that would help, it didn't, I undid that then tried to merge levels, that didn't work either. I also tried using my paint brush to see it that worked, but it won't, the eraser and lasso tools work, what am I missing? Thanks for any help you can give me, and sorry if I'm just missing something obvious, I'm still new to photoshop :o

The hardness is at 100% the spacing is at 25% (I've have no idea what that does, but have never changed it) and it's on normal mode...
This is driving me nuts...

Thanks for the help, I'll check it out now...
no everything's still right, the part that gets me is that it works fine with any other photo, could I have messed something up with my layers somehow?

Blending mode.
Check you're on the right layer.
"Sample all layers" checked.
