This a shot from a series I'm doing on the memories of childhood and their fading. Anything I could or could have done to make it better. Conceptually as well as technical

To me it rather looks as if the bear died and is in the tunnel or something, you know, the bright white at the end... :D
Seriously though, the bright white on the pic looks as if it's a flash, a... something that appeared, and the bear swims in (or jumps out of) this light when it should fade, the light should be sort of... tranquilizing and fading instead aggressive and flashy, the memories don't usually come in Freddy Krueger like claws that wanna grab you.. they come subtly, silently, gently. Also, I have absolutely _NO_ idea (yet) of how to vastly improve your image. However, the Idea is excellent.

I think your right about the aggresiveness of the image. I'll have to revisit technique. It does to a degree play into the rest of the series, which is about childhood memories, or rather the brutality of some childrens games. As in the goriness of two little boys playing cowboy and indians, and cops and robbers, or g i joe shoots barbie, or what not.
