So that equestrian show that i need help with, some time ago, was last nigh. I had a lot of fun and filled up my 4 gb card (about 400 – 500 photos in raw) just in that class. So for al of you that did not read the post here it is (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=205441). For a heads up this was difficult because the lighting in the arena was so bad and when I used my speed light it would not keep up. So most of the images are under exposed and a lot of PP to do. Let me know what you think of the photos as I post them here. Thanks. C&C

By the way my first time shooting any kind of sport. And I was in the arena. HEHEHE

Phwoar, that first stallion is stunning! Look at his tail... Tell me he doesn't step on it at all, lol.

*Ahem*

I don't like the last as much as the others, the horse is too blurred for my tastes. The others are good! :)

Michael,
Glad to see your shots! I see you got that 70-200. Had you had much time to practice with and get comfortable with it? I feel for you shooting inside a dark arena. I just shot boxing at a new light challenged place and most of the action shots were a bust....ARGGGGHHH! First time? You did a good job! I really like 1 and 5. I am wondering what ISO you were shooting at. Is your lens the IS? Raw eats those cards like crazy. Might try just shooting at a high jpeg or raw+jpeg.

What i did is i rented the 70-200L IS from Samy's Camera in Orange Count CA and i was shooting at 800ISO. After using the lens i will have to buy it once i get that kind of $$$. And for the person saying they dont like #6. It was shoot when the horse was spinning.HEHE I wish there was more light so i could have almost freezed it. But what you going to do. I will post a few more later. Just about done going thru them. Thanks the looking.

So I did not get alot of good photos out of that 400. I only have about 20 usable ones and alot that could have been grate.
