Canadian WHL Major Junior hockey...

A friend of mines son was named captain of the WHL’s Medicine Hat Tigers for this season. It's his second season with the team. The Tigers played their home opener last night against the Lethbridge Hurricanes and won the game by a score of 6-5 in overtime.
I took some pictures for him with my 1DMKIIN and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS. I was using 1000 ISO and shutter speeds for the most part were around 1/800th sec. All the close up images were shot through the glass. I tried to get a few portrait style and a few action shots for him.

Great shots! Do you do requests? My son played minor hockey with a boy who just made the Tigers. I am sure the association would love to post some shots of him on their web site as they are very proud of what he has accomplished.

Very nice shots, I have the exact same lens and will try your settings at the next Lightning practice I attend....
