Help with Canon EOS 10D focus points!

Hi all!

I have a Canon EOS 10D. I have had this camera for about 3 months now and it has been great. When I went out to do some shooting today and put the camera in manuals setting like (TV, AV and so on) the camera would focus but it is not showing the focus point. I will take the camera back to where I got it from but before I do I would ask if any of you have had this problem.

Have you turned the focus point display off in Custom Functions ?

The focus mode could be on AI Servo. This would flash the focus point very quickly with no beep. If this is the problem it would only show up in manual modes. Only the sports mode would use this type of focus in the auto settings.

Clear the Custom Functions. and make sure you are not using AI Servo.

Thank you all very much for your help! The camera was in AI Servo mode. I did not even think of checking that. All is working now.
