Hi guys and gals
Just wondering how you add a soft focus in shots. I use photoshop7.
Is this even done on Photoshop or is it done with a filter???

Not sure if Photoshop 7 has these functions or not (My guess is yes), but for CS and CS2, here is how I do it:
1. Duplicate the layer.
2. Use Gaussian blur on the top layer.
3. Reduce the oppacity.
You need to experiment different values for Steps 2 & 3 until you are satisfied.

You could do it with your lens. Just fog it up with your breath or stretch a nylon over it.

Erasing works but once you save you can't change your mind. Well, you can do more, but you can't do less.
Making a layer mask allows you to do the same thing in a way that is always reversible/changeable.

Try this new product for black and white - B/W Styler from www.thepluginsite.com. I am on their list and I received a link today. I loved it so much, I bought it. In spite of the fact that I have several other converters. Has lots of very nice options - and a free demo. Cost is only $49. I hate to be a plugger, but its very nice!
