I'm a newbie in digital cameras. I bought my IXUS II few days back and am learning to use it. I realised that whenever I press the button to take photos, a ray of red light shoots out (this happens even with red eye reduction turned off). When I turn off the flash, the light stopped. Is this normal or something is wrong with my camera? Can the red light be set off? My sights are blurry after the shots. Please help........

Thanks.

I have IXUS II too. The red light is normal, I think it has something to do with the auto-focus and the red-eye reduction. So I wouldn't worry about it. Why do you want the red light to be off? And when you say "my sights are blurry after shots", do you mean your eye-sight? I've never heard the red light causing blurry eye-sight before.
