NYIP Anyone?

I was just wondering if there were any NYIP grads, or someone who might have just taken a few of their courses floating around out there that might give me their opionion of the course?

Sounds tempting enough, but it seems there is just enough information in the sales packet to get me interested.

Any thoughts?

I am very interested in reading the replies on this one. I have read some interesting articles on their site, and like mlfrancis, have been tempted by their curriculum ads.

Is this a legit, quality photography school,or is it like those "so you wanna be a motorcycle mechanic" school ads?

FYI, I can tell you from actual experience that there isn't big money or a bright future in motorcycle repair.

I just started the course this month. I got my first 3 lessons. A little early to tell but so far so good. You read the workbooks, listen to tapes and watch a video.It has good information, condensed. They give you projects to shoot with each lesson which you turn it along with a simple written test from their workbooks. They grade the test and then send back photos with comments on tape.

I was tempted to sign up just to get the first lesson. The 21 day (what a weird number) guarantee tempted me. I know it would be trouble, but I would like to know a few months down the road how you are still likeing it.
