i am trying to deside if its worth it to but a 20d kit on ebay. i was thinking that i wanted to get the 18-55 lens and then another one like 55 to whatever because i have heard the large lenses lead to distortion. however the deals on ebay are soo good. but they come with tamron lenses from sizes 28-80 and 80 - 200ish. are these still good lenses?? should i go for it and eventually get the lense i want(assuming the lenses i want are better) or should i continue to search for the best deals on an individual basis. help i need to make a desision thank you

You should post a link to the eBay auction you are considering. The folks here will be able to tell if it is a deal, or a ripoff.

Without seeing the actual auction it's hard to say. But, generally the ebay kits consist of low end lenses and the bundled accessories are usually junk. You're probably better off buying individually from a reputable vendor such as B&H, Adorama, Newegg, to name a few.

As for the much toutrd Ebay I would be very cautious..
Dealing in Horology stuff I have found its better to go to a specific site dealing expressly with a particular commodity as opposed to Ebay.
So head to a specific camera(s) forum featuring Canon digital slr cameras

Also be careful of ebay kits, some of the stuff is not worth the extra price. If you could post up the auction link or the auction id, we can help you out!
