Is there an adapter for this lens so that it can be used on a digital rebel?

If not then I think canon should really make an adapter or a full frame fisheye because of the 1.6 crop problem.

No, there is no adaptor and it's unlikely that Canon would ever make anything that would facilitate a Nikon solution to a Canon problem, not that Nikon would either.

I also doubt if Canon is overly concerned with providing a full frame fisheye for the 10D. At best it's a transitional camera and the market for a lens like this is miniscule in any case. Sure it'd be nice to have everything but it's not economically viable.

Canon DOES make a 15 mm fisheye and a 14 mm wide angle and the expensive solution would be a 1Ds.

I stand corrected.

I do wonder if this ring will affect the infinity focus with a Nikkor lens on the Canon body since it has be - even slightly - like an extension tube.

I don't know about Nikon, but Canon lenses usually focus just a little past infinity (greater than infinity----is that possible?) to allow for expansion/lengthening of the lens caused by temperature change.

Home Depot has some stuff that works for this. It's a universal adapter material that comes on a roll. It's even waterproof for all those of you with D1's and such that want to preserve your wet weather functionality.

Look in the heating and A/C aisle for "duct tape".

Nice i think the price is well worth it if you really need a full frame fisheye.

If this is a brand new nikkor lens it is possible that it doesn't have a manual diaphram for the aperature which would render it utterly useless. It's also going to be manual focus only. All good points that should be taken into consideration.

The alternative is to purchase the currently available and perfectly suited Sigma 8mm circular fisheye and deal with the small amount of image crop. The 8mm has a 22.08mm circle. The 10D has a sensor size of 22.7 mm x 15.1 mm. That means that the difference in coverage should be around +/- 1mm. That would be a fairly moderate loss overall. It's a far cheaper and much more elegant solution.

Justme is right-the superwide nikkor is very likely to be an\ G type lens which mean you would have to use it wide open or stopped right down (i can't remember which).Look into it.If it has an aperture ring it will work in manual focus/stop down metering mode.

Also-i think the measurments justme gave for the sigma circular fisheye are wrong.A 22mm circle won't cover a 22.7x15mm rectangle.

Don't forget the option of a cheap fisheye converter on the kit lens.Cheap but image quality may not be great.I'll try my brothers soon and let you know how wide it goes/how good it is

**********DON'T PAY THAT MUCH FOR AN ADAPTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!**********
