I can't seem to locate the file utility viewer that came with my EOS1D. The solution disk software doesn't seem to have the software or perhaps my Apple G5 isn't recognizing it. Spoke to Canon tech support with verification that it will run on OSX version10.3. I must have the software loaded to upgrade. My problem is getting the software and loaded in the computer. Is there anyone having this issue with Apple G5 that can address this problem. Another thing, I do not recall whether how many disk that came with the camera. I found only two. The solution disk version1.2 which is labeled to contain Remote Capture and Plug-in Module. I do not see the utility viewer. It makes me wonder if the utility viewer is in a separate disk. 1D users, is this true? If you can share the software please send to cvillalo@qwest.net. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Go here:

http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/customer/psswup.html

and you can download and install the latest versions of your 1D software, including FVU for Mac or Windows.

Nevermind that it says powershot g2, that's where the 1D sends you.

Thanks so much for helping. I wasn't looking in the right place. Who ever designed the web page wasn't thinking. The software booted without a hitch. Thanks again.
