Anybody use a "slide show" type cd for marketing? I want to use a dynamic approach to this and use appropriate music (royalty free music of course) to market to seniors next year. I would like to have them be able to insert the disk into a DVD player and watch the production on tv or computer. Since cost is an issue i want to do the work myself. Is there a program that I can use to make such a presentation? - Thanks

If you're thinking of doing an AOL by stuffing CDs in everybody's face in the hope of getting sales then look at this http://www.nomoreaolcds.com/

Unsolicited CDs rapidly get thrown away unused and unviewed. I encourage dumping unsolicited CDs into the bin in my household. My stepson found an AOL cd in his magazine and installed it on a PC without permission. I had to reformat and reinstall to get the computer working again. Most people have had similar experiences. I saw all the viruses people had from floppy disks and never trusted any free CDs/floppy disks/free downloads. It has served me well.

We used a DVD/CD handout at a bridal fair once. In it we included a bunch of different information and one of them was a movie that we used ProShow Gold to make. I made the master and then I paid my son and his friends to make the dupes (they were sitting at the computers anyway). I only took 100, which wasn't enough, but the expense was pretty minimal. If I decide to do the brial fair again, I will do more. ProShow is one of the better systems for making the movie part of this. There are probably companies out there that you can take a master to and have them make the dupes.

Thanks SSIM I am looking into Proshow Gold, I have downloaded their free trial and I am going to see what I can do with it. I think that todays seniors want to see more than just a postcard with specials on it. They are more visual and into "hi tech" stuff. The cost for 100 cd's is so inexpensive and the mailing cost is about the same as sending a letter so why not stand out a bit, especially in a market that has 60+ photographers listed and only about 5000 seniors to go around. - Thanks again
