View Full Version : My jumper friend & a baby crab spider

I always know where to find her, only getting the camera into the undergrowth is a bit of a problem. I managed this time:

The first crab spider I have ever seen, a tiny baby (smaller than an ant, probably 2mm). Cute as a button :D Picture was taken with 68mm tubes and is cropped considerably (1/4 of the original)

Both of these are amazing! :D Is #1 natural light ?!?!? Either way, it is a really great shot :D

They are both fabulous shots.

The first one is very 'pretty', I have seen some pics of other colours of jumping spiders but not one like this, its very attractive.

I agree with you about the crab spider being cute as a button :)

Wow, excellent shots, especially #1 I just love the look/colour/composition/lighting of this shot, it's just very very nice. That's a keeper, I'd definitely get that one printed and on the walls :)

Lovely shots Bea, the lighting is lovely and really brings out the colour and detail wonderfully.

No-one noticed that the crab spider is missing a leg? I didn't either until my daughter pointed it out (3+4=7) :oops:

You know, I was just looking at it and realized that it was hobbling a bit, Wonderful shots. Excellent work.:D :D :D

The 1st one looks like it's wearing a nice sweater! I'd say it's the "cutest" spider I've ever seen! Very well composed. :)

Great shots. I know from experience that it's very difficult to get a good shot of the little crab spiders.
