How many of you have the Canon 28-300L?

Could I get some picture samples out of the camera not processed? I want a good lens I can take to the race track, air shows and for grabbing pictures of birds, hawk etc.

I am trying to decide if I want a 70-200L 2.8 IS or the 28-300L.

At what range can I keep it stopped down to F3.5 and at what point does open to F5.6?

Thanks for your time!

Since you already have the 17-40 I'd forget the 28-300 and go for the 70-200 2.8 IS. It's a faster lens, smaller/lighter, and it compliments your WA nicely.

PM Chancellor. He is this lens' advocate. If you search the forums with 28-300 you will find some recent pics posted.
