Interesting shots and creative composition. I prefer the 2nd as the sky is blown out in the 1st.

Try to remember the rule of thirds. If possible, try to get your subject off-center.

Now blowing out the sky is tough. You can try exposure bracketing, but in reality it's pretty difficult to get the exposure just right.

I like the shots. Great concept!

For the sky. you could try a graduated ND filter or do this as an HDR.

Very good idea! Next time why don't you put some water on the snail (or on the track) to get it to come out of its shell? If it were crawling, it would look more natural. As it is now, it looks like you just set the thing down on the tracks.

Wecome to the forum Cuz

Great shots and great compostion

Perfer the first shot and the lack of "the perfect blue" sky doesn't bother me a jot - It's not a traditional landscape shot and the rest of the shot is perfectly exposed with great lighting.

Good job I look forward to seeing more, reguards, Dellboy.

You need to master curves before anything. Just Google it.

great shots, I don't think the bloomed sky detracts from shot 1 at all. I also think the name should be changed from the "rule of thirds" to "gentle guideline of thirds" :P
