Ok I never tried one of these before, I just kinda followed a tuturial and got a tad carried away with my Scott Kelby book and Photomatix Pro. I think with more practice I can learn how to make these better.
Let me know what ya all think ...

Image was shot with my 20D and 28-135 IS lens hand held so its not gonna be the sharpest photo ever.

Looks pretty good - my opinion would be to have a bit less HDR effect, bit more original image. It may need a bit of straightening - the crookedness of the bridge stands out to me.

also i think your white border is overpowering your image. its hard to explain but there is too much white surronding the image

Hmm interesting observations, I will redo this once my eyes can see straight hehe, I used an example outta a book for the border but I can see how it can be too much for this image. Since its my first attempt at this I am always in edit mode anyhow :)

Ok made a couple of changes, lowered the HDR strength, fixed the bridge, removed the seagull from the bottom of the frame and 1 goose that was off on its own. Also changed the BW channel mixer based on a recipe for Tmax film and added a tad film grain to the image.

honestly i like it alot, to me it looks more like a hand painting and really gives it a 1900's look to it.
