Hey everyone, can anyone tell me how photographers get this effect in photos? Is it a camera setting, a photoshop technique, or both?

I was looking at some photos on flickr, and there are so many neat photos that have this effect. Any help would be appreciated!!!

I think that is both, camera and ps. It looks to me like they have an HDR pic, and saturation boosted in the blue family :)

I'm sure someone esle will chime in and help out!

Seems like a good guess, but it's got too much blue, IMO because the blue around the trees is distracting. :)

It's exagerrated use of HDR using the software Photomatix.

Matt is right on. Radical curves adjustments will give you that effect. Here's another non-landscape example.
