Here is a shot I took awhile ago. Shot was with Rebel XT and 17-40 f/4L. Let me know what can be done, especially in photoshop, it seems to me that the upper left is very harsh. 2 levels of USM was added, along with some curve, contrast, and color balance layer changes.

nice closeup, good sharpening and colors. Your DOF is maybe a bit too narrow

I agree with T.O.
The shallow DOF gives us a blurred "THIS CAR", which is a little unfortunate.
The snow is completely blown out. So, shooting RAW and even shooting multiple shots for a "Merge to HDR" would have been worth the effort, in my opinion.

Actually, that is not snow. The shot was taken under a very bright sun, as you can see, some of the paint has worn away, causing reflections off of the metal. As for the shallow DOF, I cant decide if I like it or not. Thanks for the comments.

Personally, I like the very shallow depth of focus...it looks like you did it intentionally so stay with it.

Yes I like the DOP too, I suppose its just preference. As Bob said, the sun refections have been blown out.
