New folders on CF card?

I own a a60 and like to know why everytime there are made new folders on the CF card automaticly.
by example:
K:\DCIM\136CANON
and
K:\DCIM\135CANON

And whén are there made new folders. I can't explore that.
And can you prevent this?
I Like to have alle files in the same folder.

THe camera stores every 100 photos in a new folder on the CF.

Lets say you are in folder 169
The photos in that folder are named IMG_69xx where xx ranges from 00 to 99.

After photo 6999 the camera creates folder 170 and begins labeling photos 70xx.

You can't prevent this from happening. The best you can do is transfer the pictures from the CF to a single folder on a computer. I wouldn't suggest leaving pics on the CF anyway.

But when i connect the camera directly with a usb cable, and go to the station'Canon Powershot a60', All files are in the way I like it: In one folder.(..?!)
How can this be?
