My last wedding the bride was specific about wanting "Different" photos. (lots of B&W, Selective Color stuff like that) Of course I did a lot more than just these 3 photos. Just wanted to see what you alo thought.

The last one I really like how you've coloured the butterflies. For the other two, however, I'm not a fan. The first one in particular looks more thrown together (no offence, of course).

One thing I do have to say from the first one, is that in a lot of the pictures, the people seem very posed (they know you're taking a picture, almost as if you got their attention and told them to look at the camera). Granted, I've only done one wedding myself, but I've noticed that for anything other than the wedding party photos, you want things to look candid and natural, rather than posed.

Just my $0.02.

You did a good job, not my personal taste- but if the clients are happy then were all happy

Thanks glad you liked at least one:rolleyes: Just kidding :D
As far as being posed those all ARE for the most part posed photos. Remember youre only seeing 9 photos of about 800 I took. So there are a bunch of "candid" photos.

A lot of people dont lilke the new "photojournalistic style" style that you are talking about many still like the formal photos. The ones of them dancing are from the parents dance and such. I do get their attention for one photo and the rest I take are candids that way they have at least one posed good shot from each event (first dance, parents dance, ect)

Thanks, Thats why I posted it here to get some opinions on it. Do you think just remove some of the photos or scrap the idea all together?

Not really my taste either with the selective color stuff but she was very specific about what she wanted so I have to do what I have to do..... Believe me shes paying for all the extra time though. :)

If a bride (grooms rarely have such requests) is asking about all kinds of weird things that are not my regular style, I politely decline the offer to photograph their wedding. I tell them that it's just not my style and that they'd be better served by someone who is more in line with what she's looking for. It'll make everyone happier.
Of course I can bend my style to a degree, but I wouldn't have been able to hack this bride.

That being said, I only like the 3rd pic. But remember, she wanted to be different, so most of us probably won't be near as thrilled as she would be upon seeing these pics.

Well she wanted all the regular color stuff too, just wanted a bunch of them converted to B&W and selective color also.
