that is the question.

or should i say, in this digital age we live in: does the post production action we choose reflect our personality?

i'm the first to admit i have a rather dark personality. i prefer dark gloomy days to happy sunny ones (most of the time anyways).

doesnt surprise me then that i prefer a black & white vintage look.

how do you feel about the work you produce - the reflection on you as a person?

i would like to know! :p

So I guess it is possible :)

I think it is like any form of artistic expression - it reflects your character and personality in one way or another. This is speaking of photography as art - the same thing may not apply to someone who shoots football for a living, for instance, as they may be performing to other people's expectations and not think of it as a creative exercise. Possibly even then some comes through, I've never really looked at that many sports photos to see if I can tell the difference *shrugs*

I know that my photos have a style and my post-processing style is developing as I learn more PS techniques... I think it's going to be a year or two before I get into PS enough that I can actually develop a really distinct style, however, as curves/sharpening etc. don't really cut it as much as subject matter at this point in time ;)

I actually look forward to experimenting with actions and seeing what sorts of interesting looking prints I can come up with.

Are most of your shots taken with a wide angle? Or, do you tend to get close and zoom in on details?

Having answered the above, ask yourself if in life, you tend to view the bigger picture? Or, concentrate on details.

The results will amaze you.. 'nuff said!

Ones photo style is generally biassed by the equipment on has and what it can do.

Well I have always favored wide angle (not too wide but moderate usually) and I guess people would say I look at the big picture but I recently got a macro lens (I always wanted one but never bought one in 25 years) so I guess in my old age I am becoming more introspective.

I just saved thousands in therapy fees. My camera has now paid for itself including that 180 macro. So now I guess I can get me my favorite lens the 35 1.4 moderate (but fast) wide. Thanks man you helped me justify more blatant consumerism but I still have this guilt issue to deal with. What lens should I get? Maybe a nifty fifty or a lens baby? Do they help with guilt issues. What about indecision issues? Someone HELP!
