I am new to this Digital photography WORLD (DREBEL with a Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Zoom Lens) and I spent 6 hours at a soccer tournament. Took over 200 pictures and I am glad that I don't have to wait for film development. I found out a few things about my SHOOTING TECHINUES.
1. Have to make sure that the Sun is behind me
2. Manual Focus worked better for me than the AF
3. Need to learn how to not cut off the heads or legs of my subjects
4. Need a sharper lens. The lens I have loses sharpness when I zoom in on subjects.
5. HAVING WAY TO MUCH FUN
I am glad to join this new WORLD and reading all of your tips here will help me A LOT. Now I just have to decide if I realy need the 100-400L lens, or can I use maybe a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 with a 2x converter. I was not pleased with the Sigma 50-500, produce ghost images when I shot above 350, on a monopod. Thank you all for your wonderful inputs on this forum. Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful shots using various lenses.
The one NEGATIVE thing about my new adventure, I don't spend the weekends with my wife. Oh well
