This is the first time I've taken shots of a cat after a friend from work asked me to take some. Stan is a pedigree Bengal and as you can imagine, very lively!!!

Anyway, C&C welcome.:)

Thats a great 'portrait' shot of Stan. Did you do anything to the background?
The only thing I would say is a little bit more depth-of-field would have got the other eye in focus, but it' still a lovely shot, I know how difficult it can be to get a cat to sit still for you - They usually do nothing all day but as soon as the camera comes out... :-) Well done

Beautiful cat, Bengals are one of my favorite breeds. Absolutely gorgeous.

pretty kitty. I agree about the dof, it would have been nice to see both eyes in focus, but still a very nice shot.

Thanks all, your comments are most appreciated. :)

your right about the depth of field Kevin, I had no light other than from the window and was trying to maximise that. I thought I was close enough but it could have done with more.

I did'nt do anything with the background he was sat in front of a wall pained with Magnolia so it was almost white.....

He was terrible for moving and seemed to go as soon as I got anywhere close!!!

Thanks all the same though...

Beautiful... As said before, a darker background would have popped up the colouration that much more..
