Hello,
I am having a problem with compressed files when transfering the compressed files on to my memory stick and then on to my tv. The thumnails from the compressed files are not showing up like they do for uncompressed files.
First of all, I am transferring pictures from my digital camera to my computer and from there I am putting them on a memory stick so I can plug it in to my television so I can see the pictures on the tv. This all works well and good and when I put these files in to the tv they first show up as thumbnail and when I click on it, it goes to the larger image.
However, when I compress the files on my computer first to make them smaller, and then I transfer them to the memory stick and on to the television, I have a problem with viewing the thumbnails.
When I use Corel to compress the image the thumbnail does not show up on the television at all, it is only a grey blank square, but if I click on that square, the pictures does show up. But if I use adobe photoshop to compress the file, a grey blank square comes up in the place of a thumbnail of the original picture as well, only when I click on it, it gives me some type of data error and the larger pictures does not come up at all.
Ideally I would like to be able to compress the file, transfer it to the memory stick, plug it in to the television, and have the thumbnail show up so that when I click on it, it displays the larger image.
Could somebody please suggest a software or plugin or something that I can use to accomplish this or has anybody else had a similar problem? I am really not sure why this is happening because although the file is smaller, it is still a jpg and I don’t know why the television is not handling the smaller jpg the same way it does the original.
I would really really really appreciate any advice on the subject!! Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
