Do you recognise the ex-Premiership "sh!te" defender? (A quote by Dave Mehew - our assistant boss!)

Our fans were happy when we were winning!

Where are the tears?

running down my cheeks!

It was a metaphor...

we were winning 2-0 and then conceded two goals in a minute and then one one to lose the game. Dwight, it was the opposite side of the "Romance of the FA Cup", Gmen might be able to elaborate!

Well, I think it required this explanation in the original commentary ... soem of us are not familiar with your personal loyalties, FA game scores or other such subtleties. :-) Maybe you be more like a doctor and refrain from shooting games in which you hold such a personal interest.:lol::lol:

Well well, I wondered when somebody on here would cover "The Spitfires" :)
Nothing wrong with "Franny", was he his normal fully committed self ?
As for Wayne Shaw, Eastleigh have spent loads of money on other keepers but he still fights his way back into the team and makes it hard to be dropped.

Shoots look good, were you pitchside or spectator? And did you get the rain storm just before KO or during the match, as the heavens opened on me during the afternoon.

I was a spectator, although I'm now covering away games for the Gloucester paper so I could probably go pitchside if I wanted to.

We were 2-0 up when Benali knocked in a short backpass that our striker, should've and could've nipped around Shaw and made it three, however the big man saved it, chucked it upfield and they scored. From the kick off we gave the ball away instantly and it was in the back of the net again. Then the Spitfires scored again.

We didn't get the rain until afterwards when I was speaking to the manager when it emptied down. On the M4 on the way down we took on that much spray from the rain that our coach broke down!

Hope your journey home was better. Well quicker as losing away going home is always a downer.
Eastleigh are a very hot and cold team this season. Some very experienced players under performing so far.
Should have gone pitch-side as the celebration shoot to "you lot" would have been a cracker.
Back out tomorrow under lights. So here's hoping the match is on as we've had load of the wet stuff.
