White dots appear in picture

I have a Canon S50. When shooting photos that require the flash, I sometimes get photos with white circles. Somtimes they are faint and small and sometime dark and large. Camera setting is mostly on Automatic.

This is a common problem with any small camera where the flash is close to the lens. The white dots/grey circles are dust/dirt/smoke partticles etc caught by the flash. It is NOT a problem with the camera.
