Oh my God!!! It is so inspirational! I love the song. Did you have to get a copyright for that or what? I love your bio with your family picture... so sweet. The presentation of the pictures is professional, clean, simple and elegant! Great work! My only criticism is that you are missing some of your best work that you have posted hear earlier. THe couple kissing in the water (engagement shots) & the night time shots of the wedding that were all natural light that everyone was just raving about! Those aren't there... how come? GREAT JOB!

Stunning, i'd hire you. I hope you're at the top of the price bracket where you live. Maybe have someone edit your "about Eric" section for you, I like the sentiment but it could use a little polishing.

Really nice, I arent a fan of flash based sites unless they add something to website experience but yours deffo does so the use of flash is very worthwhile.
Love the photos, tons of really really nice photos, hope in a fewcouple of years time I can have half of what you have in my own collection.
Noticed a couple of typos in the "about me" section so probs worthwhile getting a few peeps to proof read it for yah, when you make it yourself you go blind to the words eventually and dont see the mistakes.

Wow, that is absolutley stunning. It conveys averything that a new B&G to be would be looking for; warmth, empathy, knowledge, experience,...the list goes on. The ONLY thing I could see that need tweeking is the "About Eric" section, as others have already said. There's only a couple of glitches but they just add a tiny dent to an otherwise perfectly smooth finish.
(Excuse me while I bin my site and start again!)

Thanks Joanna. I appreciate your time and comments.. PLEASE tell me the images you are referring to.. I have to tell you this, THE HARDEST part is sifting through THOUSANDS of images to find standout shots. This has made me promise to be better at cataloging.

XP Home, 2.17GHz AMD Athlon XP Pro, 512K DSL. Not sure what else to say. My DSL Isn't the fastest I admit...but it's certainly no dial up either. And slow in every way meant pages/images/transitions/everything loaded slow. The contact page was quick due to its simplicity, but anything with a lot of images had a lot of lag.

I also thought it was a bit slow to load, but the site is definitely worth the (short) wait. Absolutely beautiful! My only grip is the fact that the music is on by default, though this is somehow less irritating for a site dedicated to weddings.

Great site, but pretty slow, and the pic of your wife and kids never came up. The color and B&W conversions are amazing, very beautiful. You say you have thousands of images, but it doesn't look like you have very many different weddings up there. Your work is really inspirational, just edit the "about me" section.;)

I love it.
My marriage is in a rough patch. Seeing and hearing your website stir my emotions. Seeing all those in love couples have make me cry.
My wife is drifing away because I don't love her as much as I should.
I must fall in love with my wife again.
Never have a website stir my emotions so mush.
Thanks in advance ( you might have save my marriage)

Eric -
Did you do this yourself or hire it out? I'd like to know who did it for you. What a great site!
You might want to have a specific click to turn off sound. I found it after a few seconds, but it took a little searching. I don't know about others, but that annoys me. Sometimes I want to just look without all the noise.
Still, great effort. Smooth, quick. beautiful. Nice job.

Loved the site! Like others though, I found it to be slow. Everything loaded fast enough, but the transition effects between pictures made it hard to view them quickly. Once again, love the site and the photo's, as was said very inspiring to a beginner. After viewing your site, looks like I am going to have to teach myself to use flash, because besides the slow transitions, I love how you used it to set the mood and showcase your photos.

I like it! One suggestion, perhaps you should move "The Day Before" to the left of "The Day of" so it flows in chronological order? It just stood out as odd to have it reversed like you do now.

I have sent an email to my developer, the transitions on my PC are about 1 seccond, but at the studio I observed them at about 5seconds on a powerbook, that is unacceptable (the avg image is 40k, that does add up, but shouldn't affect the transition)

Wow Eric...this is really incredible. Whatever your prices are, you need to raise them after developing this site.
I would seriously consider ditching the music though...unless you have bought rights to use it. It could get you in trouble...and you're in the right part of the country for people, including your competition, to bust you on it...just a suggestion.
Great, great site! I'm forwarding it on to my mentor...she always likes seeing what other photographers are doing and I think your work is very inspiring.

I've always enjoyed seeing your work when you've shared it here and your site does a good job of showcasing your skill, but I would like a little more depth. I imagine as you have time you'll build more into your site, but something like 1 or 2 complete wedding and engagement sessions would be nice for potential clients. If not complete sessions, something like 25-50 images from a single event, in order, to show you're consistent. I realize when
you show albums to clients, they get to see all of that and your web site is more than good enough to get clients into your sitting room for a deeper look.
Cheers

went through it again...you're going to have tons of photographers eating up your bandwidth just admiring your site! Can't say it enough...I'm very impressed.
I also noticed when I hit "play" the transitions were slow. I didn't time it, but it seemed a bit long. I didn't have any problems with anything loading quickly, but I have a fairly quick DSL connection (for DSL I suppose).
On images where you've done composites with one side darker, the dark side is a bit too dark on my monitor to be able to see it. I'm viewing on an uncalibrated Dell 20" widescreen, (only soft-proofed with a test print from my lab) but I'm guessing most clients are going to view your site on a calibrated monitor either.

Well Eric i must say that your site is truly impressive. State of the art look, very sleak, classy and modern. Flash is maybe annoying for many people but i just love the way You implemented it, very elegant and its working great as a selling instrument. I also think that flash is the way to go in the future anyway. Adding to that, your stunning work doesnt really make it less comercial. Im on a fast line and at my end the site is very fast. I also guess that your typical client isnt the person sitting with a dial-up and a 800*600 monitor. For us photographers its very inspirational and i guess it makes most of us green of envy. I for sure wouldnt think twice about hiring your services after a presentation like that. Well done!!

As a bride (who has looked at many wedding photography websites), as a web designer, and as a photography hobbyist, your site gets 5 stars from me. It loaded very fast, the pictures were stunning, and it was easy to navigate. I have shut many photographers' sites down because they took too long to load or they were too confusing; kudos to you, you deserve it!

its great, but you should look at search engine optimization ( my real job ) . Flash is very hard to position. If i were you with a site like that i would employ a local firm to do something with it. If you need any help to select a firm pm me. Its not expensive. Its great to have a great site, but what you want is for your target market to find it.

Hello Eric:
Great site! Good work. I too have been thinking about a flash based site using SWISH or other automated flash software. That said, our brides have told me not to? I interviewed about 20 of our brides to see how and why they contacted us regarding their wedding photography needs. Almost all (eighteen) told us they found our site using Google or yahoo and really liked the simplicity of the site. They did tell us that other photographers in the area had wonderful active sites but was believed to be more art than getting to the business of wedding photography.
I’ll be the first to say our web site is rather boring and not very contemporary. I would like to move my site into a flash experience but reluctant based on our market interviews. I’m familiar with SWISH and it will build some pretty cool flash sites.
I’m curious to hear your feedback and comments and how your clients see your site?
Thanks! …Dan

I used to use it a lot and my web designer mates used to take the pee out of me for using it but I used to argue that if the website looked good in IE plus the other main browsers then it didnt matter what you used even if the code behind it was a bit messy.
Not used Frontpage for a couple of years now as my last site was wordpress and coppermine based so when I decided to do this current one I decided to give Dreamweaver a bash, tis quite different to Frontpages office look and feel but its a lot more user friendly than it used to be last tme I tried it, fact still remains though, doesnt matter what you use so log as your site looks good and gives yah the results you want.

Eric,
You know i love your style, always have! If you were in my area and country (haha) you would have been my photographer! Your images are truelly magnificent and beautiful.
The site is gorgeous....but the only criticism i have is it takes a while to load and the song (on my pc) cuts in and out. I love the song though and the layout and the photo's, and really if i was looking for a photog i would wait for it to load so i could go through the whole lot anyway!
I think the truthfullness in your "About eric" spot is brilliant, i am so genuine, honest and down to earth like you too - so i know what your saying :)
Anyway - great job - AGAIN ;)

The site is very nice. I use Mozilla Firefox and it works great (of course, all I need is the Flash plugin).
I am a bit reluctant to using Flash on my website. From my stats, I see that still 10-15% of my visitors have version 6 or lower (or none at all) installed. Anyone else has comments on using Flash for a wedding photography website?
