Does anyone know if i can use a 380 EX off the camera? or can be controlled by the 550 / 580 EX aswell?

But does anyone know if i can use a 380 EX off the camera? or can be controlled by the 550 / 580 EX aswell?
Sadly, 380ex doesn't have any slave triggering.... I've cobbled together a PC cord to trigger mine but it also doesn't have any output control so position & angle needs careful thought.
