Always difficult when the background is brighter than the subject.

The child looks great and a good idea having a toy to play with.
I might be tempted to crop off the pic omitting the left hand. It is rather distracting from the face which is the
main interest in the photo.
The toy is not easily identifiable and might work better
if it were blurred , making it easier to concentrate
on the child's face.
Also rather too much empty space behind the child.
With that cropped off, and the sunlit hand gone too, I think this
pic would work well as a vertical composition.

Pleasant photo

Wonderfull shot! Lovely.

I agree with Eland, crop the left hand side.

I've cropped the picture, darken the backgroup a little.

Good shot. It's not clear what toy the child is playing with - but it doesn't matter. She's obviously absorbed.

I have a habit (good or bad) of cropping with room given to the direction that the person is facing. This particular image has good directional lines moving from top left to bottom right. I think a horizontal format is appropriate. Here's my crop (without further adjustments).

Your crop does look much better.
This is a lovely child and rather than battling with this image,
which does have inherent faults, background too sharp,
bright left hand, complicated-looking toy, I'd suggest that
you take what you have learnt and move on to other photos of her.
Use plain preferably out of focus backgrounds for portrait type shots.
If you are not sure how, put your camera on Aperture Priority and open the lens all the way. (smallest number)
The backlighting is good. The subject does not squint and there are no harsh shadows on her face.
Shooting in the shade will give much the same effect
without the bright background.
Hope we see more of your photos soon.
